Whilst we are still receiving a high quantity of demos, we have showcase the best of these on our official site.

All demos received by FatCat are listened to and replied to. With the amount of demos we are currently receiving, we would prefer if you could send your best tracks rather than sending loads. If we like what we hear, then we will gat back to you and ask to hear more. Demos are acceptable in all formats, but we prefer to hear them on CD, Minidisc or DAT. Please do not send MP3s by email. They will be deleted immediately and not listened to.

We have designed a DIY site to help new artists and labels find out what they need to know to get their own work out into the world. The intention is to provide a forum of information, ideas and resources that will help to dymystify the process of getting started. We hope that, with your help, we will be able to provide a resource that evolves and changes rather than one which remains a fixed entity.

We have done our best to present a wide selection of service providers who we believe will be receptive to new artists / labels, but we cannot accept responsibility for problems encountered in using companies listed on this resource. We encourage your feedback & will update or remove companies from the list if problems are encountered.

Bear in mind this is a limited resource. It's scope extends worldwide, but is predominantly focused on UK resources, in particular on those pertaining to leftfield / electronic / post-rock / post punk genres. We make no apologies for this fact, as these are the primary areas in which FatCat is operating.
