‘She’s Cool’ is the highly anticipated follow-up single by respected underground rapper and lyricist extraordinaire, D.2.1. (“The Architect”). Blackmobb was founded and created by D.2.1, with the idea of bringing the real lyrical rap back into popular hip-hop. As he collaborated with singers Trevino & Sarah j and producers Murray Biggs and D-goody, they created, hits with a heart, club bangers with relevant topics of big city life. Influenced by such rap legends as Eric B & Rakim, Nas and Tupac Shakur, Blackmobb brings you that real hip-hop. With hypnotic beats, and melodies that will have you looking for a dance floor, it brings together some of the best talents from the U.K. and the U.S., merging the best components of the two musically and presenting you with an unmistakable recipe for success.
D.2.1, was born in London, but raised in the heart of the Bronx by a militant Jamaican mother. In 2002 he returned to the U.K. and quickly immersed himself in the local underground rap scene. While growing a reputation as a grinder and a revolutionary emcee, he perfected his impeccable street flow and created his distinctive transatlantic style. Over the past eight years D.2.1 has come up through the streets of London (and previously New York), while playing all over the UK, and is now creating a stir as he aspires to be "The Big Thing" to come out of the UK’s music scene. Creating his initial buzz from mix tapes and underground street releases, he is now stepping out into the limelight with some new club anthems. Independently he has moved over 50,000 units, by daily promoting his music on the streets of London, come rain or shine. He has collaborated with some of the best artists in the U.K., as well as having various cameos and a string of music videos, featured on Channel U and MTV.
Off the back of his superb debut long-player the ‘Pain Album’, D.2.1 has already gained support from some of the UK’s leading DJ’s including DJ 279 on Choice FM, London radio station Fusion and his single ‘That’s Wassup’ has been play-listed on HHBRadio.Com, Fully Deep Radio and Conspiracy Radio. The Pain Album’ was un-doubtfully one of the best underground releases of 2008.
In 2010 he’s back with some friends: Blackmobb, where he collaborates with various artists including singers Trevino and Sarah J to bring you pure Anthems. More melodic and dance-floor friendly than his raw solo style, it is still true to its roots of delivering nothing but the best rhymes to the sickest beats. In the track “Lock This Down-London Town” D.2.1 raps about the daily grind of city life, to slick productions by Murray Biggs and D-goody. In “She’s Cool” he’s giving his due respect to women while never loosing track of the thug within, and in “Away” he shows yet again
